Team Diabetes of Second Life, authorized by The American Diabetes Association, implement its mission of raising awareness, tolerance, and funds for diabetes in Second Life virtual world.

Base from Wolrd Health Organization, Diabetes is a chronic disease, where Type 1 diabetes is by lack of insulin production, and Type 2 diabetes through the body's ineffective use of insulin resulting from excess body weight and physical inactivity. Insulin balances your blood glucose levels, gives boost of energy when stressed to name one (reference: http://www.who.int/diabetes/en/).
